CNJ Class BE Baggage Car

Historic HO gauge baggage car kit representing a famous eastern American railroad. The New Jersey Central ran this baggage car as primary equipment on passenger trains for more than 40 years. Routes between Jersey City/Newark and New Jersey seashore points as well as the mainline between Jersey City/Newark and Phillipsburg, New Jersey/Easton, Pennsylvania were frequented by this sturdy rolling stock. On occasion, the New Jersey Central, in collaboration with the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, provided these cars to assist in carrying baggage on the joint CNJ/B&O "Royal Blue" train service between Jersey City, New Jersey and Washington, D.C.
