The New York, Ontario & Western Railroad ran from Lake Ontario in upper New York State to Weehawken, New Jersey on the west side of the Hudson River. It served no large cities and was abandoned in 1957. Railroad owned RPO's very rarely left home rails. The car shown was the line's primary baggage express car in both all mail and passenger trains.
